Work parties are usually organised on alternate Sundays (with the occasional Saturday) at a variety of
National Trust-owned sites and properties across Sussex.
There are also weekend tasks, with accommodation usually provided on or near site (for a small
fee to cover food). Should you require transport to a work-site, normally a lift can be arranged
with another volunteer.
Recent National Trust sites at which the group has worked include:
- Sheffield Park Garden
- Devil's Dyke
- Standen
- Alfriston Clergy House
- Cissbury Ring
- Slindon
- Black Cap
The group carries out conservation work right across East and West Sussex; we have
lots of fun, but don't take our word for it - why not come along to a work-party, before joining
as a paid-up member? If you do decide to join as a member, you'll receive three newsletters
a year containing articles of interest and the work party and social programme.
The group also has an active social programme, including events such as pub nights,
occasional holidays and weekends away, walks, bowling, watching basketball, etc. |
