Common sense should
prevail when doing outside conservation work, but we would recommend the following
as a minimum:
• Tough
clothing, including waterproofs and thermal garments for winter.
• A packed
lunch (unless told otherwise by the contact). In addition, the group will provide
hot/cold drinks and other refreshments throughout the day.
• Sturdy
footwear (steel toecaps an advantage), or Wellington boots.
• Gloves
(gardening, or other similarly tough).
• A
sense of humour to cope with the weather!
• NB
There will be First Aid kits available on site. It is also advisable
to have an up-to-date tetanus jab.
